Social Justice and Witness Ministry

What is “Social Justice” and Why Should We Care?

There are times when you might hear the term Social Justice used at St. Paul UCC and wonder, “what is that all about and what does it mean?”

· Social Justice is working to follow the Christian tradition of creating spaces where people are accepted just as they are – beloved children of God, with NO discrimination or inequality.

While the huge scope of social justice issues can be overwhelming, the St. Paul Social Justice and Witness Team are going to focus on the northwest suburbs of Chicago in 2022 in these areas of need:

·  LGBTQIA Community

·  Affordable Housing

In the coming weeks and months, the Justice and Witness team will begin to share some thoughts and suggestions for ALL of us to consider as we educate ourselves and act for change together. If you are interested in learning about Social Justice and how to bring about a more just world, please email Andy Bullock at a_bullock59@me.com to join the Justice and Witness Team! We welcome everyone!! Let's learn together!
