Equity and Inclusion Ministry

United in Christ's Love, We Seek Justice For All.

Equity and Inclusion

In 2025, our Equity and Inclusion ministry is focusing on three specific areas of social justice impact:  1. The Woodstock Pride Parade on June 15, 2025 in Woodstock, IL. We will be hosting a booth on the square and marching in the Pride parade to support and represent the LGBTQIA communities in the western suburbs of Chicago; 2. Out of Darkness Chicagoland Walk at Montrose Harbor in September 2025 to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about; and 3. United Nations International Day of Peace on September 21, 2025, which was first declared 44 years ago as a shared date for the world to build a culture of peace. With wars and geopolitical tension in evidence around the globe, this year’s Day of Peace holds particular significance.
